Overcoming Bloglessness

Daily Prompt: The Satisfaction of a List

Daily Prompt: The Satisfaction of a List List

Who doesn’t love a list? So write one! Top five slices of pizza in your town, ten reasons disco will never die, the three secrets to happiness — go silly or go deep, just go list-y.

Way to go, Daily Prompt.  Way to activate my OCDness.  I’ll be thinking of lists all day.  Some of the lists I thought of right away were; list of birds (there were 12) I saw on my walk , list of products I use in the morning, list of gods,  list of elements,  list of common latin phrases, etc.    I finally decided to go with the  list of all  lists, the List List.

List List

1. Bucket list

2. shopping list

3. grocery list

4. play list

5. wish list

6. honey-do list

7. to-do list

8. check list

9. hit list

10. shit list

11. short list

12. Dean’s list

13. guest list

14. black list

I’m tempted to and port and starboard list, federalist and panelist, but that’s not really fair.  Feel free to add to the List List.

I’m going to go count my steps now.

For many years I have suffered from debilitating bloglessness, only writing in my head, while everyone else posted and shared with ease. Previous attempts at recovery have failed, my secret journals edited to death, pages torn out, crumpled and trashed. I will not succumb to this embarassing condition. I will continue to struggle against the rampant backspacing and endless blank staring. I refuse to relapse into the void that is bloglessness. I can do it. I am doing it. I am Overcoming Bloglessness.
