Daily Prompt: Honor Brave Malala

Daily Prompt: Honorific.

October 16th is officially declared “Person X Day” — and you get to pick Person X. Tell us about someone who deserves to be commemorated. Photographers, artists, poets: show us HONOR.

Malala Yousafai

She’s already received many awards, but I can think of no one more deserving than Malala Yousafai. I admire this young woman so much, it brings tears to my eyes to hear her speak. She is brave and eloquent, poised and charming.

Because of Malala, the first Right to Education Bill was passed in Pakistan.

I can’t wait to read her autobiography.

For many years I have suffered from debilitating bloglessness, only writing in my head, while everyone else posted and shared with ease. Previous attempts at recovery have failed, my secret journals edited to death, pages torn out, crumpled and trashed. I will not succumb to this embarassing condition. I will continue to struggle against the rampant backspacing and endless blank staring. I refuse to relapse into the void that is bloglessness. I can do it. I am doing it. I am Overcoming Bloglessness.
