The return of the blues is a sure sign of spring,
as well as the greening grass
and the poor, unwelcome dandelions.
Catkins are a sure sign.
Mothers, tending their nests are a sure sign of spring,
and farmers, tending their fields.
Spring is calving season.
And nothing says spring like butterflies on bear poo.

Spring!
For many years I have suffered from debilitating bloglessness, only writing in my head, while everyone else posted and shared with ease. Previous attempts at recovery have failed, my secret journals edited to death, pages torn out, crumpled and trashed.
I will not succumb to this embarassing condition. I will continue to struggle against the rampant backspacing and endless blank staring. I refuse to relapse into the void that is bloglessness. I can do it. I am doing it. I am Overcoming Bloglessness.

I LOVE THAT BIRD. 🙂 Truly, I think it’s the most beautiful bird in the world. Mostly at my house we have the red-breasted blue birds (love them, too!), but up a little higher where I hike sometimes this lovely being sings (I answer) and sometimes I see him/her flitting between the branches of the Jeffrey Pines.
