Overcoming Bloglessness

An Egg!

First Egg!

Betty laid an egg! A beautiful little brown egg, nice and clean when I found it in the henhouse. I was so excited, I ran inside to show Mr. Raven right away. Of course, I had to get my camera and take a picture of the first egg. Then I told the internet. Then I called my daughter.

I think I’ll use it tomorrow when I bake cookies.

It was somewhere around zero degrees and there was a foot of snow on the ground on the last day of hunting season. Mr. Raven didn’t get his buck this year because he was holding out for a big one, but the big one never came along.
I got a forked horn mule deer, two weeks ago. It wasn’t a biggie, but I had a good shot, so I took it. Turns out, it’s the only venison in the freezer this year.
We trade in the hide for a pair of leather gloves. Scrap meat and bones went to my friend’s wolf/dog and I took a bag of meat to the wild birds at the rehabilitation center.

Now that that’s done, maybe I can pay a little more attention to blogging and ignoring silly Daily Prompt. via Someone Else's Island.

For many years I have suffered from debilitating bloglessness, only writing in my head, while everyone else posted and shared with ease. Previous attempts at recovery have failed, my secret journals edited to death, pages torn out, crumpled and trashed. I will not succumb to this embarassing condition. I will continue to struggle against the rampant backspacing and endless blank staring. I refuse to relapse into the void that is bloglessness. I can do it. I am doing it. I am Overcoming Bloglessness.
