Overcoming Bloglessness

Winter Crow

Weekly Photo Challenge: Now

Now it’s winter and the snow is as high as little Crow’s eye.

The chickens won’t set foot on the snow, but crow doesn’t mind. She buries her head in the powder and plows, fluffs up her feathers and flaps her good wing like she’s in water.  Nothing refreshes like a snow bath! Or maybe she’s making crow angels.

Crow bites at falling snowflakes and contemplates the wintery world.

For many years I have suffered from debilitating bloglessness, only writing in my head, while everyone else posted and shared with ease. Previous attempts at recovery have failed, my secret journals edited to death, pages torn out, crumpled and trashed. I will not succumb to this embarassing condition. I will continue to struggle against the rampant backspacing and endless blank staring. I refuse to relapse into the void that is bloglessness. I can do it. I am doing it. I am Overcoming Bloglessness.

  1. Really like these! Crows are amazing subjects for photographs. The black/white contrast is fantastic.

  2. I loved this from the very first line, which is even better than the photo – although I don’t know if, in fact, the photo is just as good if not better….oh, the two together – in fact the whole post – well. You can see I’m lost for words! Just love it.

  3. This blog earned a Bean Pat as blog pick of the day. Check it out at: http://patbean.wordpress.com

  4. We’ve only had a teensy bit of snow, but that’s okay with me. Yours is lovely to look at and I appreciate getting to enjoy it vicariously 😉 Have a very happy New Year!
